Sri Lanka has recruited two executioners and is preparing to carry out four hangings for drug offences, the first in 43 years, when a moratorium on capital punishment came into force, now expiring. The Bbc reports. President Maithripala Sirisena has declared that the death penalty has been reinstated to crack down on the drug trade that is rampant in the country.
